What Can We Do?

What Can We Do?

FILE A COMPLAINT
The most important thing each of us can do is to file a complaint when we notice something is wrong.  Authorities count on reports from resident.  The City cannot afford to have inspectors randomly roving the area trying to find problems they may not know about.

Take photos. Take videos. Keep a log of all the times you are annoyed by what you see, smell and hear that you believe is a result of activities at Superior Ready Mix/Canyon Rock.

Help with our efforts. Send us an email  or Contact Us to let us know you're interested.

We have a right to complain.  Here's the rule that says so.

 The Nuisance Rule

Rule—Rule 51, the “Nuisance Rule”—validates what people experience without needing scientific data to back their experience. Residents near Superior Ready Mix (SRM) cannot reasonably be expected to know if SRM is in compliance with the very highly scientific and technical aspects of air quality regulations. We are not scientists and we have no way of knowing precisely what harmful contaminants remain in the air after the visible dust has settled.   But we do know what we experience.

RULE 51. NUISANCE: A person shall not discharge from any source whatsoever such quantities of air contaminants or other material which cause injury, detriment, nuisance or annoyance to any considerable number of persons or to the public or which endanger the comfort, repose, health or safety of any such persons or the public or which cause or have a natural tendency to cause injury or damage to business or property.
